1996 and 1997 were odd years for Harley Davidson audio with 1996 being the first year for the new FLH Model fairings.  On 1997 Ultra Classic models the rear speakers were either 4.25" or 5.25" depending on what time of year the bike was built, so please ensure to check what size your bike has before ordering.  1998 model bikes have speaker holders (HD part # 77047 - 98) that can be used in 1996 and 1997 fairings to properly install 5.25" speakers.  Therefore, if you have a 1996 or 1997 model and choose to use the 5.25" speakers for the fairing, our model 356F are what you would use if using radio power only.  Our model 356R is what you would use if you have 5.25" rears on your 1997 Ultra. 356F and 356R can be found on our pages for 1998-2013 bikes. In all cases, the direct replacement for factory 4.25" speakers are our model HT-44 shown above.
